Training

HDL currently offer a short awareness training course.
Your staff will subsequently:
• be able to clearly identify dyslexic symptoms (practical,
academic, emotional and “avoidance strategies”)
• understand and comply with the DDA
• be sympathetic to the range of difficulties in relation
to their own experience
• know about “reasonable adjustments” and
what kinds of support and assistive technologies are available
during training and operational duties
• be able to recognise when further assistance or specialist
input is necessary
Our focus is on occupational issues.
Further training courses are in development. We are writing a number of new modules which will enable companies to become self-sufficient in identifying and supporting dyslexia at work.
